I and the Board of the CI-ADE wish you a Happy New Year full of personal and professional growth and happiness.
The Board and standing committees have worked hard to provide our membership with 4 exciting programs this 2007-2008 year. These programs are listed on this website for your reference. Please take a moment to review the schedule and I hope you can attend to increase your knowledge base and also to network with like professionals.
A needs assessment was sent to the members in June 2008 and few replies were
received; please do not hesitate to contact me with any suggestions you may
have regarding desires for future topics
.
There are many changes on the horizon for our National organization and we
have an opportunity to have a significant impact on National AADE Board nominations.
Please join your fellow AADE members at the National Meeting in August to
have your voice heard in our nation's capital.
The collective California AADE chapters have successfully organized a statewide coalition (CA-AADE) and a few chapter board members have been working together to implement this. The CA-AADE is hosting the first Diabetes Education Getaway on October 3-5,2008 in San Diego. Please be encouraged to attend too; it is a great networking opportunity
I again encourage all persons passionate about diabetes education, treatment, and professional growth to become a member of the organization and help in any way you can.
